BANJO KAZOOIE ON NINTENDO 64?

i am playing banjo kazooie on nintendo 64 and i am having trouble on clankers cavan!!

it says to free him you need to swim through his key 3 times but i can swim through it 5 times and still nothing happens!!

doesn't anyone know how to free him i need help!!!

Are you swimming in a complete circle around him? Remember - the fish that drops air bubbles is your friend.

Keep swimming in a constant circle around until you hear the confirmation sound.

After that he should rise, and then you can get a jiggy by shooting eggs into his golden teeth.
